Invest in Youth Staff

Each day at Invest in Youth our staff, guided by our board of directors, is driven by our vision first articulated in 1997 to nurture a community of engaged, confident and capable students who actively seek solutions to the challenges they encounter. We advocate for all students through culturally sensitive programming, recruit tutors who reflect the diverse communities we serve and continually initiate discussion and learning opportunities for all stakeholders.

Cindy Sackett, executive director

Cindy Sackett serves as our executive director and brings a wealth of expertise to our organization, including over 15 years of experience dedicated to building infrastructure, programs and resources to champion educational equity.

Prior to joining Invest in Youth, Cindy served as the operations director for the Washington Alliance for Better Schools, a collaboration of local school districts and industry leaders that provides career-connected learning opportunities for K-12 students.

She holds a nonprofit management certificate from the University of Washington and a bachelor of arts degree in child and adolescent development from Southern New Hampshire University.

Jenny Ho, Program Manager

Jenny Ho is a former elementary school teacher, nonprofit administrator and local entrepreneur driven by a commitment to advance sustainability, racial justice and economic opportunity.

Her educational background includes teaching STEAM classes to local third- through fifth-graders and she has worked with refugee and immigrant women to support them as they prepare for a prosperous transition to the US.

She is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound, with a masters in teaching and an undergraduate degree in in business administration.
