Alison Allen – Executive Director

Alison began with Invest in Youth in April 2013. With a background focused on education and working with children, Alison has been involved in the education sector, primarily serving low-income children, since her first job at the YMCA as a high school student. Since then, she has centered her career around providing high-quality academic and emotional support to struggling learners. Alison enjoys engaging students with hands-on activities and creative learning environments through the use of role model tutors.

Erika Chen – Associate Director

Erika recently graduated with her Masters of Public Administration and Nonprofit Management Certificate from the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Policy & Governance. She has worked for Invest in Youth since June 2015, starting as a part-time intern. Before moving to Seattle during the summer of 2014, Erika worked in marketing and fundraising for low-income schools in South Florida. She is passionate about youth development, and as a child of public servants, she hopes to give back to the community through nonprofit work.
