Our Supporters

Invest in Youth wishes to thank its many supporters for their ongoing contributions to our program. Without their involvement, we would not have been able to keep our program growing and vital these past fifteen years. Our funding comes from a variety of sources – individuals, foundation grants, government grants, corporations, associations and in-kind donations. Examples of in-kind donations include camp organizations that offer subsidized camp experiences, programs that offer reduced admissions for our “end of the year” event and groups or individuals that provide snacks or meals for field trips and other material contributions.

Individuals
Individual contributions are a significant source of our income with many of our donors also involved as Invest in Youth tutors.
List of individual donors: Nov.1, 2009 to Oct. 31, 2010

Corporations and Associations
Invest in Youth receives contributions, tutor volunteer support and sponsorships from local firms and associations, many of which are in financial services. Firms with participating tutors 2010-2011 school year numbered 19, while employees of 44 different firms have participated over time.

Testimonials

The success of the Invest in Youth program can, indeed, be measured quantitatively, but the most powerful expression, I see is the joy of both tutors and students at the end of the year as they celebrate their success and the requests of tutors to continue working with the same student for the coming year. — Susie Murphy, Principal
Beacon Hill International School
